Accountemps is in the process of recruiting an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk with a company in the Manufacturing field. Recent Accounting Graduates are welcome to apply! As the Accounting Clerk, your efforts will become an important part to the success of International Construction Company. This Accounts Payable Clerk opportunity will be located in the Houston, Texas area and will be a long term temporary-to-fulltime position. The Accounts Payable Clerk will be expected to match and batch code, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks. Key responsibilities

Carry out additional tasks as assigned

Handle administrative tasks for the AP/Finance Department

Provide customer service to internal business partners

Perform full-cycle A/P

Facilitate internal and external audits as needed

Verify, log and send checks, including facilitating special handling

Sort, log, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents

Open, organize, and distribute department mail daily

Accurately execute daily processes and controls in a timely manner while ensuring company policies are followed

2+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred

Be detailed, flexible, and organized

Established communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds

Knowledge of accounts payable

Experience with Microsoft Excel

Adeptness in vendor relations and sourcing

Account analysis experience desired

Foundational knowledge in account reconciliation

SAP FICO - Financial Acctg - Controlling experience

AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
